A lot of surprises await you in the narrow streets of the picturesque Ghent Patershol. Heritage Restaurant, by chef Sebastian Sandor is one of them. After working in Japan, Canada, Austria and Germany. Sebastian wanted to gain experience in another country. That country was Belgium.
Starting as sous-chef at two Michelin starred Belgian restaurant ‘Pastorale’, the chef with hungarian roots was quickly asked to take over as head chef of the restaurant. Leading the kitchen in this restaurant for two years and with the necessary experience gained, Sebastian was ready to take the plunge and fulfil his dream of opening his own restaurant.
And that’s how Heritage was born. Heritage stands for a sophisticated gastronomy in the historic heart of the city. The secret ingredient? The love for Ghent and the region.
